What are these teens doing?

They’re creating Candyland!

These teens are volunteers who are spending many hours in the Sunnyvale Public Library program room, making a Live Candyland game for younger children to play. The teens are creating the board, cards, sets and costumes, and on Saturday, August 18, children will enter our program room (which will have been transformed into Candyland) and play the game live.

The teens are very excited about the program! They’re looking forward to it and we all think it’s going to be a lot of fun.

If you have or know a child who would like to sign up to play the Live Candyland game, here is the information:

Live Candyland at the Sunnyvale Public Library
Saturday August 18 from 12 to 3 p.m.
For children entering grades 1-5

We’ll sign up eight children for each half-hour time slot. They will play in four teams of two. They will be assigned a time to play when they sign up, and each game will take half an hour.
