Presentation about Diet and Heart Disease

On Saturday, May 8 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Purnima Nandkishore will talk about how to reduce your risk of heart disease by changing your diet in her presentation “Understand the Connection between Diet and Heart Disease”. She is the author of Amrit: Luscious and Heart-Healthy Indian Meals, a MediterrAsian cookbook. Learn how different components of food affect risk factors that lead to heart diseases and recognize how you can modify one to affect the other. Copies of Purnima Nandkishore’s book will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

Paying for College

Vicki O’Day of College Affordability Coaching LLC will come to the Sunnyvale Library this Monday (April 12) to help students and parents navigate the maze of college financing. She’ll discuss expected family contribution, merit and need-based aid, savings plans, and strategies for finding affordable colleges.

Vicki’s presentation will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  No registration is necessary. The Library is located at 665 W. Olive Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94086
